14-Year-Old Charlotte Summers Sings 'At Last' By Etta James

Published In Music

14-year-old Charlotte Summers lends her voice to beloved power ballad, ‘At Last.’

This song was originally written in 1941 for a musical, but it wasn’t until 1960 that it became the iconic tune it is today. That’s when Etta James recorded her own arrangement and the song went straight to number one.

This song continues to be regularly played and covered by other artists even decades after it’s release. And whenever you hear those famous lyrics, it truly transports you back to another time and place.

“At last my love has come along
My lonely days are over and life is like a song, oh yeah
At last the skies above are blue
My heart was wrapped up clover the night I looked at you”

Today, young Charlotte Summers is putting her own spin on this classic tune. This award-winning child singer has been performing since she was just five years old.

Recently, Charlotte was introduced to the world when she auditioned for the 2019 season of America’s Got Talent. Week after week, this talented vocalist impressed the judges and crowd with her big voice and perfect song selection. Charlotte made it all the way to the quarterfinals of the competition.

Now, she’s continuing to showcase her talent to the world with more incredible covers of our favorite classic songs. She may be young but this teenager has such a big voice. Charlotte hits every single note perfectly and even adds a little bit of personality to the performance.

I have a feeling that we’ll be seeing this teen for years to come.
