6-Year-Old Blind Pianist Plays 'Bohemian Rhapsody'
6-year-old blind pianist Avett Ray plays an incredible rendition of Queen’s 'Bohemian Rhapsody.'
Avett may be young but he is definitely talented beyond his years. Just watch as he sits down at the piano and belts out the famous lyrics of ‘Bohemian Rhapsody.’
“Is this the real life?
Is this just fantasy?
Caught in a landslide
No escape from reality
Open your eyes
Look up to the skies and see”
It is one thing to play this difficult song, but it’s an entirely different feat to sing along too. I know that it takes so much time and practice in order to perfect these numbers but Avett shows no signs of difficulty.
Note after note, he continues to sing while he flawlessly hitting the keys on the piano. It always amazes me to see children stepping up to an instrument and performing just like an adult, or even better.
When we see kids, we don’t expect them to be at the same level as an older performer. But sometimes, a child with a rare gift emerges and completely blows everyone away.
Avett is blind and visually impaired but none of that slows him down. It’s obvious that he is having a great time playing and that is the most important part. And the Internet is loving his performance too because he’s already accumulated over half a million views on YouTube.
Avett certainly won over our hearts and I hope we continue to hear more from this talented and adorable pianist.
