A Cappella Rendition Of 'Bohemian Rhapsody' From Pentatonix

Published In Music

Viral a cappella sensations Pentatonix share a stunning performance of Queen’s ‘Bohemian Rhapsody.’

This talented group of five formed in 2011, but they shot to fame after winning the third season of the television competition, ‘The Sing Off.’ Since that time, Pentatonix has earned worldwide attention for their covers of songs such as ‘Hallelujah’ and ‘The Sound Of Silence.’

Today, they are belting out the iconic lyrics to ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’ and it’s another viral performance.

“Is this the real life?
Is this just fantasy?
Caught in a landslide
No escape from reality
Open your eyes
Look up to the skies and see”

The song was written by Freddie Mercury for Queen’s 1975 album, ‘A Night At The Opera.’ Since that time, many famous artists have lent their vocals to the tune. But, this a cappella Pentatonix rendition is unlike anything else.

When you perform a cappella, every sound that you hear comes from a human voice. There are no instruments or background music. It takes so many hours of arrangement and practice in order to perfect a performance like this, but Pentatonix always delivers flawlessly.

This talented group has a gift for selecting just the right song to compliment their vocal skills. And the rest of the world seems to agree because this rendition of ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’ has been viewed over 75 million times online.

With talent like this, it seems that there is no end in sight for Pentatonix and we’ll certainly be hearing from this group for many years to come.
