A Cappella Rendition Of ‘Little Drummer Boy’ From Pentatonix

Published In Other

The talented a cappella ensemble of Pentatonix ring in the Christmas season with a beautiful rendition of “Little Drummer Boy.”

We first met this group in 2011 when they won the third season of the television show “The Sing Off.” Since that moment, Pentatonix has only risen in fame with viral covers such as “Mary Did You Know” and “The Sound Of Silence.”

Today, they are lending their voices to another Christmas classic with “Little Drummer Boy.”

“Come they told me, pa rum pum pum pum
A new born King to see, pa rum pum pum pum
Our finest gifts we bring, pa rum pum pum pum
To lay before the King, pa rum pum pum pum
Rum pum pum pum
So to honor Him, pa rum pum pum pum
When we come”

“Little Drummer Boy” was originally known as “Carol of the Drum.”

This beautiful Christmas song tells the story of a poor boy called by the Magi to the birth of Jesus. Sadly, he had no gift except to play his drum the best he could. But this simple gift was one of the best presents for our King.

Now, the story is known all over the world and today, it’s getting the a cappella treatment from Pentatonix. What an beautiful way to honor our Savior!

Matthew 2:11 “And going into the house they saw the child with Mary his mother, and they fell down and worshiped him. Then, opening their treasures, they offered him gifts, gold and frankincense and myrrh”
