Aspiring Broadway Singer Luke Islam Sings 'Never Enough' On AGT Semi-Finals

Published In Music

Luke Islam, a Broadway star in the making, returns to the America’s Got Talent stage for a powerhouse performance of ‘Never Enough’ from The Greatest Showman.

When we first met this young man, he was professing his love for Broadway and judge Julianne Hough. As a New York native, Luke has always had a heart for Broadway and performing. He has seen numerous live shows and dreams of one day being on the stage himself.

For his first audition, Luke belted out the words to ‘She Used To Be Mine’ from the musical ‘Waitress.’ It was such an incredible performance that Julianne was moved to press her golden buzzer, sending Luke straight through to the quarterfinals.

So far, he’s sailed through the competition with perfect pitch and brilliant song selections. Today, he’s taking on the musical megahit ‘Never Enough.’ This popular tune was featured in the movie, The Greatest Showman.

The film was released in 2017 and starred Hugh Jackman and Michelle Williams. It told the story behind P.T. Barnum and how this showman created the Barnum & Bailey Circus. T

he music featured in the film because an instant classic. One of the most popular tunes is ‘Never Enough.’ Just listen as Luke belts out these powerful lyrics.

“All the shine of a thousand spotlights
All the stars we steal from the nightsky
Will never be enough
Never be enough
Towers of gold are still too little
These hands could hold the world but it'll
Never be enough
Never be enough
For me”

There’s no doubt in my mind that we’ll see this young man’s name in lights one day.
