Published In Other

The Petersens lead us in worship with this bluegrass rendition of ‘Sweet Beulah Land.’

This hymn was written in by Squire Parsons in 1973. After its release, the song quickly became a smash hit earning multiple awards and countless covers.

Over the years, Squire has written over 800 songs, but ‘Sweet Beulah Land’ remains a standout.

“I'm looking now, just across the river
To where my faith, shall end in sight (Shall end in sight)
There's just a few more days to labor.
Then I will take my heavenly flight.”

The lyrics of this popular song speak to the glory that awaits us in Heaven. One day, we will be reunited with our Father in Heaven and what a glorious day that will be, indeed. Our hearts long to be with God and someday, all our pain will be erased and we can stand with Him for eternity.

“Beulah Land (Beulah Land) I'm longing for you (I'm longing for you)
And some day (And some day) on thee I'll stand (Someday we will stand)
There my home (There my home) shall be eternal

Beulah Land, sweet Beulah Land
Beulah Land, oh it's Beulah Land
Oh Beulah Land, sweet Beulah Land”

Today, The Petersens are leading us all in praise as they belt out the words to ‘Sweet Beulah Land.’ It’s always such a blessing to hear a family come together for the Lord and this live performance was exactly what my heart needed to hear today.

Who else has their hands in the air right now?
