Brother And Sister Dedicate 'Jealous Of The Angels' To Late Father

Published In Music

This brother and sister share a heartwarming moment as they perform ‘Jealous Of The Angels’ in honor of their late father.

You may recognize Angie Sutherland from some of her previous music videos. Angie and her father, Edgar Napier, became viral sensations after she posted a video online of them singing ‘Lord, I Wanna Go To Heaven.’

At the time, Edgar was battling stage four cancer and one of his favorite pastimes was to sit on the porch in his rocking chair and play the guitar. Angie would sit right beside him and sing along. Together, they created the most beautiful sounds.

Sadly, Edgar lost his fight on August 25, 2019. Today, Angie is joined by her brother as they dedicate this touching song to their daddy.

“There will be another angel
Around the throne tonight
Your love lives on inside of me
And I will hold on tight
It's not my place to question
Only God knows why
I'm just jealous of the angels
Around the throne tonight”

In 2012, ‘Jealous Of The Angels’ became a hit song for Christian singer Jenn Bostic, who wrote the lyrics about the loss of her own father. It became a viral sensation after Celtic singer Donna Taggart released her own rendition of the song a few years later.

Now, this brother and sister are belting out these heartfelt words as they face the first Christmas without their beloved father. The holidays can be extremely difficult for anyone missing a lost loved one. But we can find comfort knowing that they are in the arms of the Father.
