Candace Cameron Bure On Hardest Day At 'The View'

Published In Other

Candace Cameron Bure spent over a year as a co-host on the popular daytime show The View. The program consists of a panel of women who discuss hot topics of the day and their differing opinions. Candace was the lone conservative voice on the panel and many times she was met with opposition for her stance on certain issues. But ultimately, the co-hosts had nothing but love for one another.

Today, Candace is back on the set to talk about her newest endeavors and her time on The View. She looked back at one of her hardest days there. That morning, there had been a shooting in San Bernandino, California. Candace lives in California but was on the other side of the coast to tape The View. Her children were in school at the time and they were placed on lockdown. She was so overcome with emotion and it was 10 minutes before showtime and she was a wreck.

That's when Whoopi Goldberg knocked on her door. She let Whoopi in and the two just embraced. In that moment, there were no differences of opinion, only love and support. Candace remembers crying into Whoopi's arm and the kindness that was displayed. It's something that has stayed with Candace since that moment. What an inspiring ripple of kindness.
