Christian Mom Honored By Church And Morning Talk Show

Lesley Hemphill met Dakota when he was just 15 years old. They met at Tulsa Boys' Home where Lesley was a volunteer mentor. Dakota had been at the residential treatment facility for troubled young boys in Oklahoma after his biological parents lost custody of him for abuse and other things.

The pair clicked as soon as they met and Lesley felt a motherly bond towards him. Eventually, she was able to officially adopt Dakota and it's been a blessing ever since. Today, Dakota wants to honor his mom in a very special way and he enlisted the help of Good Morning America, The Pioneer Woman and their church.

Lesley thought she was meeting a friend for lunch but really a whole crew was setting up a special breakfast in bed for her in the backyard. Just look at shocked she was when she found out this whole camera crew was there for her! What a deserving woman!
