Published In Music

In an impromptu performance on The Voice UK, Coach Tom Jones sings ‘Kiss’ for the audience!

“You don't have to be rich to be my girl
You don't have to be cool to rule my world
Ain't no particular sign I'm more compatible with
I just want your extra time and your kiss”

As Tom Jones is performing, all the audience members and judges are grooving along and enjoying this throwback jam from 1988.

American musician Will.i.am has been a judge on The Voice UK since its inception, and he is loving watching Tom Jones sing his heart out! He even hits his red button on his chair to show his approval as he sings along to the song.

Singer and songwriter Meghan Trainor is a new judge on the show, and she replaced Jennifer Hudson from last season. As Toms Jones sings ‘Kiss,’ Trainor is clearly impressed and is loving the energy that he is bringing to his performance.

Olly Murs is the other judge on The Voice UK. As a former contestant on The X Factor, he knows a thing or two about talent competitions. While Tom Jones sings ‘Kiss,’ Murs is having fun getting into the song by dancing on his chair and putting on a show for the audience. The Voice UK definitely has a fun group of judges this season!

As for Tom Jones, this Welsh singer started his career with a string of top-ten hits in the mid 1960s. He has sold over 100 million records and has had 36 Top 40 hits in the United Kingdom and 19 in the United States. Jones was even knighted by Queen Elizabeth II for his services to music in 2005.

The ‘Kiss’ singer put on a great impromptu performance, showing us all that he’s still got it!
