Disney's The Lion King Official Teaser Trailer

Walt Disney Studios is poised to release another movie reboot of a beloved favorite. Disney’s The Lion King has it’s official teaser trailer out in the wild for all to see and many of us are very excited. Within the first day of the trailer’s release, Disney broke a record for the number of times it was viewed!

The trailer scene opens with the sun rising in the Pride Lands introducing all of the animals in their habitat. The voice of lion king, Mufasa (James Earl Jones) begins the famous speech to his new heir: “Everything the light touches, is our kingdom. But a king’s time as ruler rises and falls like the sun. One day the sun will set on my time here and will rise with you as the new king.”

As the distinctive song, “Circle of Life” known by all who love The Lion King plays, the camera zooms in on the animals gathering around Pride Rock. In this new CGI version of The Lion King, the vast African lands and its animals are stunningly realistic. It’s a brand new perspective on this beloved Disney story.

Advisor to Mufasa, Rafiki the mandrill climbs Pride Rock, and prepares the red coloring for the ceremony. That’s when we get the first glimpse of the incredibly realistic and adorable baby Simba. The climactic moment of the trailer shows the moment most fans reference when trying to win at Charades – Rafiki lifting baby Simba at his ceremonial presentation at Pride Rock!

If you were a fan of the original animated version of The Lion King, you’ll want to give this version a go. It appears much like the other “live action” Disney remakes (Beauty & the Beast) this story will remain much the same if not almost identical to the original. We hope all of our favorite songs be included! We’ll all find out in the Summer of 2019.
