Emotional Act by Attraction Shadow Theatre Group Brings Judges to Tears

Published In Other

Britain’s Got Talent has had some truly unforgettable performances. We are still in awe of the “Attraction Shadow Theatre Group”. Every performance from this group, created by using their body’s shadows to tell stories, is truly stunning.

The Hungarian shadow group opens their performance with a beautiful backdrop and their bodies forming the famous “Stonehenge” rock formation. The story being told is about a couple who fall in love, marry and have a child. Through the telling of their relationship, the shadows act out the pair dancing on the London Bridge, getting married at a church, and riding in a limousine!

With each new acted out scene, the shadows get more and more intricate. The next moment is a stunning backdrop of a clock tower and a baby’s pram. What comes next in the love story is where we started to cry. Tragically, the husband and father is sent off to war where he dies. The stunning recreation of the camel and palm tree depicting the Middle East hit very close to home for many of us who have family that served in the recent wars. The piece ends very somber with the mother and child placing flowers on his tombstone.

Understandably, there wasn’t a dry eye in the audition or at the judge’s table when the theatre group’s performance was complete. The audience quickly rose to their feet along with the stunned judges. When the group steps out for their bows, it is shocking to find out that there are only eight performers! What an incredibly talented group of artists!
