God Uses A Hurricane To Send Sandra Bullock A Child
Actress Sandra Bullock is known for being a popular Hollywood star, but she knows that acting is not her true purpose. During a recent interview with Hoda Kotb on The Today Show, Sandra shares that her priorities will always be her kids and family.
Both Sandra and Hoda share a common bond as they both adopted their children. In fact, Sandra’s journey to motherhood actually inspired Hoda towards her own dreams of being a mom. But there was a time when Sandra worried that she might have missed her window of opportunity.
That’s when Hurricane Katrina completely changed everything. "Katrina happened in New Orleans, and I knew. Like, just something told me that my child was there. It was weird. It was very, very weird."
It took almost 4 years for her adoption to be complete, but when Sandra held her baby boy, Louis, in her arms she knew that everything was exactly how it was meant to be. "It's just like being a mom, I finally realize, 'Oh, this is what I was supposed to do when I grew up."
After Louis, Sandra adopted a daughter named Laila in 2015. A few years later, in February of 2017, Hoda adopted her own baby girl named Haley Joy. She even called up her friend Sandra during the process to get advice and encouragement.
As these two amazing women share their adoption stories, they can’t help but let the tears flow. And after hearing this sweet journey, I was reaching for a tissue too.
