Groom Surprises Wedding Guests With Irish Dance

Published In Music

It was a surprising moment when this groom surprises his new bride with an Irish dance at their wedding.

When James and Roisin got married, James knew that he wanted to do something extra special for his new wife. Roisin is the dancer in the relationship, but James had a few moves up his sleeve.

Just watch as a group of dancers line the floor at the wedding reception. As the music starts, this talented group of women begins to perform a traditional Irish dance.

Irish dance dates back to Ireland the 17th century and consists of several different styles of solo and group dances. Stepdance groups like Riverdance brought the beautiful synchronized dance to popularity in recent years.

After a few songs, the music changes and James leaps onto the floor. He stands by himself and busts out some energetic moves. The guests instantly go wild as James joins the dance group for the rest of the number. Even though we know the groom isn’t a professional dancer, you can tell that he put so much hard work and practice into this routine.

James wanted to give his new bride a unique gift and he definitely pulled off this epic surprise. The audience cannot help but clap along and you can see the smiles on everyone’s faces.

Irish dancing is so uniquely beautiful and I’m thrilled that this classic form of expression is finding new life in the modern era. Who else was cheering when James leaped onto the dance floor?
