Homeless Contestant Wins Over Judges With Acoustic Audition

Published In Music

Robbie Hance has been playing music on the streets since he was a little boy. But life wasn't always easy for this musician. He grew up with a single mom who worked 3 jobs to make ends meet. He left home when he was young and tried to make it on his own, but at 26-years-old, Robbie found himself homeless.

Sometimes, he would stay at a friend's house, but most of the time, Robbie slept in doorways or alleys to stay out of the cold and rain. Today, Robbie is getting the chance to follow his dream as he auditions for the X Factor. From the second he walked out on stage, the judges were interested in this special man. And when he shared his story with everyone, the crowd was already rooting for him.

Just listen as he performs an incredible rendition of Damien Rice’s 'Coconut Skins.' This amazing performance definitely impressed the judges and earned Robbie the spot in the next round. I'm so glad that this talented man is getting the chance to follow his passion. What do you think of this audition?
