Grammy award-winning artist Lauren Daigle spread the gospel while visiting a maximum-security prison.

2018 proved to be a life-changing year for this talented Christian singer and songwriter. Lauren released her ‘Look Up Child’ album that gave the world the phenomenal song ‘You Say.’

From that moment on, Lauren’s career skyrocketed as the tune crossed over into the secular music scene. Now, she is a household name with multiple award-wins and millions of fans all over the world.

While she could easily fill arenas, Lauren chose a very different audience for her recent concert. Louisiana State Penitentiary, also known as Angola, is the largest maximum-security prison in the United States. It holds over 6,000 inmates and over 1,000 employees.

As a Louisiana native, Lauren Daigle decided to visit the prison and share the message of God through music and testimony.

“Death could not hold you down
You are the risen king
Seated in majesty (yeah)
You are the risen king”

While addressing the prison over the radio, Lauren said, “I appreciate and I love all you guys. I know that I don’t know you, but maybe someday I’ll get to cross paths with you. And if not here than on the other side, in Heaven, we’ll be able to give each other a big old hug.”

Throughout the day, many tears were shed and many hearts were changed. It’s truly incredible to watch someone like Lauren Daigle use her God-given talent to spread His message in even the most unlikely of places.
