Praising God no matter where you are in life, is the theme and where this story begins. Jenny Mann, is a mom and part-time bus driver from Ider, Alabama. Loving an opportunity to sing and praise God, she decided to enter an empty grain silo and check out the acoustics. Jenny realized it wasperfect for a moment of worship.

"Then sings my soul,
my Saviour God, to Thee,
How great Thou art, how great Thou art,
Then sings my soul, my Saviour God, to Thee,
How great Thou art, how great Thou art"

As she sang out a beautiful rendition of the Christian hymn ‘How Great Thou Art’, this Mom knew she needed someone else to hear it! Mann originally recorded herself singing for her friend on social media. This same recording unexpectedly went viral on the internet and now Jenny’s chilling vocal performance has been viewed more than 2.5 million times and shared over 41,000 times online!

Jenny’s original caption for the video stated: “Hannah Gunter, this is for you. Y’all don’t pay attention to me cause I hate to see myself sing, but I am thankful for the gift God has given me.”

In an interview with Country Rebel, Mann conveys why she decided to sing on such an unconventional stage: “I’m always singing in places with good acoustics, so this was nothing out of the ordinary for me.”

After singing through a few verses of the hymn, Mann, concludes her singing with yet another beautiful iteration. This time, she sang the beloved patriotic tune “God Bless America.” Again, being sung from within the hallowed out silo brought on the goose bumps. Her singing voice is truly a gift and when such gifts are used to inspire or encourage others the blessings could go both ways.

We all can take some queues from this Alabama Momma, such as lifting our praise to God always, whether in an empty silo or even another empty dark place in life
