‘You raise me up, so I can stand on mountains
You raise me up to walk on stormy seas
I am strong when I am on your shoulders
You raise me up to more than I can be’

There’s no doubt that ‘You Raise Me Up’ is one of the most iconic songs of our generation. It was made popular by opera voice Josh Groban, but countless artists have covered the song over the years.

Today, we get to hear an incredible pan flute rendition of this iconic song. David Döring is a self-taught Pan flutist, which is a series of tubes, most typically made of bamboo or reeds. The pan flute is traditionally played in folk music throughout Europe, Asia and the Americas. David truly has a gift for performing and when you hear this beautiful song played on this special instrument, you will be in awe.

I just love how the sound of the pan flute compliments this incredible tune so perfectly. David always has a way of finding the best songs to compliment the pan flute. It’s so refreshing to hear a new sound to this classic tune. What an incredible reminder that even when you feel lost or damaged, God is always by our side.

He truly takes us to new heights and will make us better than we've ever been. I think that I could listen to this rendition all day long. What do you think about David Döring and his pan flute performance of this classic?
