It’s hard to believe that it’s been two years since beloved singer Joey Feek lost her battle with cancer. Now, Rory Feek, her husband and the other half of the country duo is opening up about his life today, and how Joey’s legacy is living on!

Joey Feek was filled with such talent and joy. Her friends, family and fans were stunned to learn that this vibrant soul would lose her battle with cancer and they mourned the loss of this powerfully inspirational woman. She seemed to take everything that life dished at her in stride. She had a gift for positivity and remaining grateful for the blessings in life.

When Joey and Rory Feek first learned that they were expecting their first baby, they took a little break from performing to concentrate on their family. Soon after, their daughter, Indiana, was born with Down syndrome. And shortly after that, Joey was diagnosed with cancer. She would sadly pass away at just 40 years old.

But their love story would still have another chapter, as Rory would continue to find ways to honor his late wife. The farm where they made their home would be used to inspire a whole new generation.

“It’s beautiful and tragic at the same time. But the beautiful outweighs the tragic,” Rory shared.

In this candid interview at the couple’s farm, Rory shares about Joey’s legacy and and how Rory is excited to share the success of the schoolhouse he had built on his property for children with all learning abilities.

When asked what he thought Joey would say about what he had done with the property he said, “She would say my husband is crazy. Good job.”
