Country superstar Craig Morgan plays a moving rendition of his latest single ‘Soldier.’

Artist Gavin DeGraw originally recorded this song, but when Craig heard one of his performances, he knew he wanted to create his own version. He told Forbes magazine, ""I fell in love with the song when I heard a live version of what Gavin had done. Every lyric of that song really does represent the soldier.”

“I'll get it if you need it
I'll search if you don't see it
You're thirsty, I'll be your rain
You get hurt, I'll take your pain”

While many people know Craig Morgan as a talented country singer, most don’t know that he served 17 years in the military. ""To me, this song truly talks about the personality and the character of those people who share that gene. The soldiers, the doctors, the law enforcement officers, the first responders, nurses. It talks about the character of those people.”

Today, he’s performing this incredible song on live at the Grand Ole Opry.

“I know you don't believe it
But I said it and I still mean it
When you heard what I told you
When you get worried I'll be your soldier”

This concert moved so many across the nation, especially during these uncertain times. As Craig performs to an empty crowd, he truly made us feel the weight of every single lyric. Let us continue to lift up these brave men and women in prayer who risk their lives to fight for our freedom and care for our citizens.
