Stranger Saves Woman's Unborn Baby During Shooting

Published In Other

Retired bus driver Sue Ann Cornwell and Miriam Finch were strangers when they both attended a country concert in Las Vegas last October. During the concert, a shooting broke out that left 58 people dead and hundreds more injured.

Miriam was seven months pregnant at the time and had moved closer to the stage when Jason Aldean came on. Sue Ann took notice of the woman and when the shots began to ring out, she immediately jumped to protect this momma-to-be. She used her own body to shield Miriam and eventually, helped her escape through a fence along with other survivors. Miriam was so grateful for Sue Ann, but in the aftermath of the chaos, she could not find her.

Months went by and Miriam did not even know her hero's name. That's when she came across a picture in a Facebook group that she thought was Sue Ann. She reached out and the two reconnected. Now, Miriam's baby boy is a healthy infant and these two are forever connected by Sue Ann's amazing kindness. God bless people like Sue Ann!
