Stuttering Comedian Drew Lynch Returns To Stage
The fan-favorite stuttering comedian, Drew Lynch, returns to the America’s Got Talent stage during the championship season. We first met Drew during the tenth season of AGT, back in 2015. This funny guy developed a stutter after a devastating softball injury when he was 23 years old. But that wasn’t going to stop him from following his dream of stand-up comedy.
So, Drew pushed his nerves and anxiety aside to audition for the panel of judges. He immediately earned praise from the audience and judges. Judge Howie Mandel was so impressed with the routine that he pressed the golden buzzer, sending Drew straight to the live shows. This young comedian made it all the way to the finals where he finished in second place, behind ventriloquist Paul Zerdin.
Now, Drew is back for the special edition of the show, America’s Got Talent: The Champions. This special format features 50 contestants who have won or been featured on previous editions of the show. These competitors come from all over the world and now they’re all vying for the ultimate winner’s title.
Once again, Drew earned a standing ovation with his routine about wearing a retainer. Howie had more praise for Drew saying, ‘I can’t tell you how proud I am of you. You are not only a great entertainer, but a great spokesperson and a great example. And I’ve got to tell you something, you have grown by leaps and bounds.’ I’m so glad that Drew was invited back and continues to make us laugh with his unique sense of humor.
