This stuttering singer from the Philippines shook off the jitters to completely amaze the judges on Ireland’s Got Talent. 29-year-old Filipino Rodelle Borja is a nurse living in Dublin. He takes care of elderly patients and even sings for them every single day.

Today, he’s taking his vocal talents all the way to the big stage on Ireland’s Got Talent, but the road has been anything but easy. Rodelle told the cameras, “I applied for ‘Ireland’s Got Talent’ mainly because I want to inspire other people, especially all the stutterers around the world since I’m also a stutterer myself.”

This young man finds comfort in singing and it actually causes him to stutter less. Even when talking becomes difficult, Rodelle can turn to his vocal skills to communicate. “I still find it very difficult to talk so I’d rather keep quiet. But when singing, I don’t keep quiet at all. I sing my heart out.” He was full of nerves when he stepped onto the stage but as soon as the music started to play, Rodelle looked completely comfortable. Just listen as he belts out the iconic lyrics to ‘Can’t Help Falling In Love’ from Elvis Presley.

By the end of the song, all four judges were on their feet clapping for this talented young man. He certainly showed off some impressive vocals and there’s no doubt that Rodelle is meant to be on stage. What an inspiration to so many around the world to see this man overcome his stutter and continue to work for his dreams.
