Tidying expert Marie Kondo is now a household name with her unique approach to a clean home. Kondo first shared her cleaning technique, KonMari method, in her book “The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up: The Japanese Art of Decluttering and Organizing.” This was followed by a wildly popular Netflix special,‘Tidying Up with Marie Kondo.’
Now, this Japanese ‘tidying’ expert is helping the world declutter by asking them one simple question: “Does this spark joy in your life?” If the answer is no, the item is removed from the household. One the clutter is gone, then it’s time to organize and arrange your possessions in an orderly manner. It seems that everyone is participating in their own version of the KonMari method, but it’s the woman behind the approach that is truly fascinating. Kondo discovered her love for tidying at a very young age. Many do not know that she studied sociology at the Tokyo Woman's Christian University. That is where she started her organizing consulting business.
