These Days' By Glen Campbell Reveals The Nostalgia We're All Feeling Right Now
Enjoy a much-needed dose of nostalgia as you listen country legend Glen Campbell sing ‘These Days.’ As we walk though these uncertain times, the lyrics to this classic song remind us to keep moving forward.
“I've been out walking
I don't do that much talking these days
These days
These days I seem to think a lot
About the things that I forgot to do
And all the times I had the chance to”
Glen Campbell was a beloved country artist known all around the world for his musical talent. His songs, such as ‘Rhinestone Cowboy’ and ‘Southern Nights’ earned him much praise. He enjoyed a long career full of success and admiration.
Sadly, the world lost this great artist in 2017 after a long battle with Alzheimer's disease. Today, we’re looking back at one of classic performances as he sings ‘These Days.’ This Jackson Browne song was originally released in 1967 but has been covered by numerous artists over the years. Glen Campbell recorded the song for his 2008 album, Meet Glen Campbell.
“These days I seem to think about
How all the changes came about my way
And I wonder if I'll see another highway
I'll keep on moving
I'm bound to be improving these days
These days”
There are many uncertainties in the world right now, but one thing remains unchanged. God is always right by our side and He is still in control. When we put our trust in Him, there is truly no obstacle to hard to face.
