Tim Hawkins' Eagles Inspired Version Of 'Amazing Grace'

Published In Other

Christian comedian Tim Hawkins plays a special rendition of 'Amazing Grace' and you don't want to miss it. Hawkins always has a way of putting new and hilarious twists on day to day things. Today, he is paying tribute to popular band, The Eagles, with an inspired version of this classic hymn. He performs in the same style as The Eagles, but uses the timeless words of 'Amazing Grace. You don't want to miss his interpretation of what this beloved hymn would sound like if it was written by the classic band.

"Amazing grace! How sweet the sound
That saved a wretch like me!
I once was lost, but now am found;
Was blind, but now I see.

T'was Grace that taught my heart to fear
And Grace, my fears relieved
How precious did that grace appear
The hour I first believed"

Usually, Tim Hawkins is known for his funny parodies and comedic sketches, but this performance is nothing but praise. He truly brings the best elements of 'Amazing Grace' and combines it with a modern sound. Normally, I'm not a fan of changing the classic hymns, but this rendition is one that I find myself playing again and again.

"When we’ve been there ten thousand years,
Bright shining as the sun,
We’ve no less days to sing God’s praise
Than when we’d first begun."

What an incredible way to pay tribute to a talented band while still worshipping our Lord and Savior. This is going to be another Tim Hawkins classic. Who else is singing along with these special words right now?
