When the Cicadas Cry - Anime Bible Study

Today's study discusses the anime Higurashi no Naku Koro ni also known as When the Cicadas Cry. Being a story not recommended for children, its biblical parallels and applications remain no less important. We will discuss each of the story arcs mentioned in the first season of the anime including the major moments where it all seemed to go from friends playing games to a murder mystery almost in one episode. We will also discuss the role that a mindset and motivating spirit of fear not only was the common factor in all of these stories, but had different results on each character, ultimately keeping them from enjoying the life they've been given. And lastly, we will also discuss how the anime illustrated the same solution God's word says can banish that spirit of fear like the demon it is.
