Young Girl Praises The Lord With Easter 'Hallelujah'

Published In Other

Young Lena Preslar sure knows how to praise the Lord. And today, she's sharing her God-given talent with the world as she sings the most beautiful Easter rendition of 'Hallelujah.'

“A crown of thorns placed on His head
He knew that He would soon be dead
He said did you forget me Father did you?
They nailed Him to a wooden cross
Soon all the world would feel the loss
Of Christ the King before His Hallelujah”

This powerful song was originally written by Kelley Mooney when she was asked to sing Leonard Cohen's 'Hallelujah' at church one Sunday.

After looking closely at the song, Kelley realized that the original lyrics did not line up with the story of Easter at all. She thought that it would not be a good idea to sing those lyrics, so she came up with a great idea to re-write the song to tell the real story of Easter.

Now, this amazing song tells of the Resurrection of our Lord and Savior. It truly reminds us of the real meaning of Easter and hearing Lena sing her heart out is one of my favorite parts. What a perfect song for this Easter.

Mark 16:5-7 “5 As they entered the tomb, they saw a young man dressed in a white robe sitting on the right side, and they were alarmed.

6 “Don’t be alarmed,” he said. “You are looking for Jesus the Nazarene, who was crucified. He has risen! He is not here. See the place where they laid him.

7 But go, tell his disciples and Peter, ‘He is going ahead of you into Galilee. There you will see him, just as he told you.’”
