A Cappella 'Don't Worry Be Happy' By Church Members In Their Kitchens

Published In Music

In this uplifting video, a group of people from Victory Family Church sing an a cappella version of ‘Don’t Worry Be Happy’ by Bobby McFerrin in their kitchens.

“Here's a little song I wrote, you might want to sing it note for note
Don't worry, be happy
In every life we have some trouble, when you worry you make it double
Don't worry, be happy
Don't worry, be happy now”

Victory Family Church is in Norman, Oklahoma, and this isn’t the first fun cover video that they have made to bring joy to others.

“Over the years we’ve done several VFC ‘Jams’ using unexpected objects to make fun covers,” they write on their YouTube page. “Being cooped up in our homes lately gave us the idea to use what we had lying around the house to hopefully bring some joy to you wherever you’re at today. Don’t worry, be happy.”

At the start of the video, two guys are talking about some of their favorite snacks, and then they start playing a beat with their microwave and fridge doors. Then, other people join them on screen making music with other kitchen items like a toaster, glasses, bowls, utensil, an oven door, blender, and saltshaker.

It is such a happy and creative video, filled with beautiful harmonies and bright smiles from the people at Victory Family Church. This must have been a fun and uplifting project to be a part of and help produce!

“I've been listening to this so much over the last few days. Absolutely beautiful,” writes one person on YouTube. “Greetings from New Zealand, and I hope all of you are keeping well and staying safe.”

“This made me well up with happy tears and then burst into hearty laughter during the bridge (the beeps and boops!). Thank you so much,” comments another person.

May this fun video uplift your spirits and bring a smile to your face!
