Choir Of Teens Sings 'Down To The River To Pray'

Published In Music

The talented Mount Sion Choir brings us words of hope as they perform ‘Down To The River To Pray.’ This Irish choir of teens knows that the world is grappling with the devastating effects of the Coronavirus.

In an era of bad news, good news and inspiration is always welcome. And this rendition of ‘Down To The River To Pray’ is just the dose of joy that my heart needed.

“As I went down in the river to pray
Studying about that good old way
And who shall wear the starry crown
Good Lord, show me the way!”

This moving performance was originally recorded at St Nicholas Church in Prague back in 2019. But, the choir felt that now was the perfect time to release this touching song. Just listen as these incredible vocals blend together perfectly to proclaim that hope can always be found in our Lor.d

“O sisters, let's go down,
Let's go down, come on down
O sisters, let's go down
Down in the river to pray”

What a beautiful performance from this incredible group of teens.

1 Timothy 2:1-4 “First of all, then, I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for all people, for kings and all who are in high positions, that we may lead a peaceful and quiet life, godly and dignified in every way. This is good, and it is pleasing in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all people to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth”
