Country Rendition Of 'How Great Thou Art' From Glen Templeton

Published In Music

Country artist Glen Templeton reminds us of God’s power and love with this incredible rendition of ‘How Great Thou Art.’

It took years for this classic hymn to be fully complete. It wasn’t until 1949 that the final English version was officially published. But since that moment, the beloved words have truly stood the test of time. It’s truly a blessing every time we hear this hymn of praise.

“O Lord, my God, when I in awesome wonder
Consider all the worlds Thy Hands have made
I see the stars, I hear the rolling thunder
Thy power throughout the universe displayed”

Glen Templeton is a country singer and songwriter, best known for his singles ‘I Could Be The One’ and ‘Let Her Go.’ Now, he’s lending his voice to one of the most famous hymns of all time and it’s absolutely beautiful. Set against the backdrop of the Nashville Vineyard Church in Tennessee, this rendition truly makes the lyrics so powerful to hear.

“Then sings my soul, My Saviour God, to Thee,
How great Thou art, How great Thou art.
Then sings my soul, My Saviour God, to Thee,
How great Thou art, How great Thou art!”

There’s something about country music and gospel that goes hand-in-hand. Who else agrees?

Hebrews 1:3 “He is the radiance of the glory of God and the exact imprint of his nature, and he upholds the universe by the word of his power. After making purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high.”
