Country Star Tyler Booth Sings 'I'll Fly Away' In Nashville Church
Up and coming country star Tyler Booth performs an acoustic rendition of the hymn ‘I’ll Fly Away’ from the Nashville Vineyard Church.
‘I’ll Fly Away’ was written in 1929 by Albert E. Brumley. It was published in 2932 and became a hymn frequently performed in church services all over the world.
In fact, the song has even been called one of the most recorded gospel songs of all time with notable covers from Alison Krauss and Alan Jackson. Albert was picking cotton on his family farm when the words to the classic hymn came into his mind.
From that moment, it took Albert three more years to actually complete the iconic song. The bluegrass beats lends itself perfectly to a crooner voice and Tyler has no problem belting out the famous lyrics.
“Some bright morning when this life is over
I'll fly away
To that home on God's celestial shore
I'll fly away
I'll fly away, oh glory
I'll fly away in the morning
When I die, Hallelujah by and by
I'll fly away”
Tyler was raised in Kentucky with a love of music from a very early age. And when you have a distinctive voice, like Tyler’s, it’s only a matter of time before other people take notice. Now, this young man is touring the country and quickly gaining more and more attention.
Today, he’s performing ‘I’ll Fly Away’ in a Nashville church and it’s truly a performance that you don’t want to miss. There’s nothing like a little bit of country mixed with our gospel music. Don’t you agree?
