Mother Of Boy With Autism Brings Parents To Tears With Adele Cover
A 30-year-old mother brings her own parents to tears with an Adele cover on Ireland’s Got Talent. Julie McCabe is a stay-at-home mother to her young son. Before his birth, Julie used to sing all the time but the busy life of a toddler put her dreams on hold.
Recently, her son was diagnosed with Autism and it hasn’t been easy. But this brave mother decided to put some positivity into her life and start to sing again. Now, she’s taking her talents all the way to the Ireland’s Got Talent stage for an incredible audition. Just listen as she belts out the words of ‘When We Were Young’ from acclaimed artist Adele.
“Let me photograph you in this light
In case it is the last time
That we might be exactly like we were
Before we realized
We were sad of getting old
It made us restless
It was just like a movie
It was just like a song”
As Julie hit every single high note perfectly, the camera switched to her parents watching from backstage. They were in tears watching their daughter live out her dreams right in front of them. It’s never easy to sing a song from such a noteworthy voice, like Adele. But, Julie had no problem making their song her own and impressing the judges and audience along the way. It’s obvious that her family is so proud and they are supporting her each step of the way. I’m so glad that Julie will be moving on to the next round.
