Nurse Adopts NICU Baby That Never Had A Single Visitor

It’s a beautiful moment being shared all over the Internet when this nurse adopts a NICU baby who never had a visitor.

Giselle was just 3 months old when she became a patient at Franciscan Children's hospital in Brighton, Massachusetts. This sweet baby was born premature to heroin-addicted parents.

Shortly after birth, Giselle became a ward of the state. While she was a patient at the hospital, Giselle won over the hearts of everyone she met. But sadly, she did not have a single visitor.

Nurse Liz Smith was experiencing heartache of her own. She had always longed for a baby of her own. As a single woman, she explored in vitro fertilization but her insurance did not cover the procedure.

One day, she was walking the halls of the hospital when she saw a beautiful baby being pushed around in a stroller. That’s when Liz met Giselle and her entire world changed. She started to visit Giselle every single day and her heart started to open for this sweet little girl.

“I knew it was meant to be. She needed me as much as I needed her.” Shortly after, Liz officially adopted Giselle and took her home. Now, Giselle is a busy 2-year-old who loves to sing and play.

In this video clip, Giselle is singing an adorable rendition of ‘You Are My Sunshine’ and it’s truly a moment that will tug at your heartstrings.

I’m so glad that this little girl found a safe and loving home. Liz and Giselle were placed in each other’s lives for a reason and God definitely has a plan for these two.
