O Come All Ye Faithful' - Amy Wilcox

Published In Music

Amy Wilcox truly brings the Christmas spirit with her beautiful rendition of ‘O Come All Ye Faithful.’ This classic holiday tune has definitely stood the test of time and now it’s a favorite that I always look forward to hearing this time of year.

‘O come, all ye faithful
Joyful and triumphant
O come ye, o come ye to Bethlehem
Come and behold Him
Born the King of Angels!’

As soon as you hear those famous lyrics, you just cannot help but sing along. And Amy’s beautiful vocals are the perfect compliment to this iconic song. Multiple different authors are credited with creating this special carol, but the lyrics most of us know and loved were written in 1841 by Frederick Oakeley. I just love when the chorus kicks in and the message of our King’s birth is announced.

‘O come, let us adore Him
O come, let us adore Him
O come, let us adore Him
Christ the Lord’

I just know that the angels were singing from the Heavens on that December night and that’s exactly what the lyrics conjure up images of.

‘Oh, sing, choirs of angels
Sing in exultation
Oh, come, oh come ye to Bethlehem
Come and behold Him
Born the King of Angels’

This beautiful hymn is one of my favorites to sing at Christmas time. I just love lifting my hands in praise and shouting the good news of our Savior’s birth for all to hear. Who else is joining in with me right now?
