America’s Got Talent alum Daniel Emmet brings the Christmas spirit with his rendition of ‘O Holy Night.’ This Christmas hymn has truly stood the test of time and there’s a reason it is still covered today.

‘O Holy Night! The stars are brightly shining,
It is the night of the dear Saviour's birth.
Long lay the world in sin and error pining.
Till He appeared and the Spirit felt its worth.’

Poet and author Placide Cappea wrote this Christmas classic in 1843. Since that time, countless different artists have recorded ‘O Holy Night’, each one adding their own unique style on the holiday tune Today, Emmet is lending his bold opera voice to this hymn and it’s absolutely stunning. When he belts out these powerful lyrics, you can truly feel the significance of each word.

‘A thrill of hope the weary world rejoices,
For yonder breaks a new and glorious morn.
Fall on your knees! Oh, hear the angel voices!
O night divine, the night when Christ was born;
O night, O Holy Night , O night divine!
O night, O Holy Night , O night divine!’

This song brings up such beautiful images and thoughts of our Savior, Jesus Christ. It was truly a glorious night when He was born in that manger in the little town of Bethlehem. Jesus’ birth paved the way for our salvation and freedom from sin. There’s no better way to give praise to His name than sing out loud for all to hear. Who else is joining in with me?
