True Colors' A Cappella Cover From VoicePlay
The talented a cappella ensemble of VoicePlay put their own spin on the classic song, ‘True Colors.’
Cyndi Lauper originally released this famous tune in 1986 for her second album. It quickly climbed to the top of the Billboard Charts and was even nominated for a Grammy award.
Other notable performances include contemporary artist Phil Collins and Justin Timberlake and Anna Kendrick from the animated film, Trolls.
“You with the sad eyes
Don't be discouraged, oh I realize
It's hard to take courage
In a world full of people
You can lose sight of it all
The darkness inside you
Can make you feel so small”
Today, the men of VoicePlay are lending their voices to ‘True Colors’ and it’s absolutely incredible. These five a cappella men belt out these iconic lyrics in a way that makes each and every note felt in your heart.
“I see your true colors
Shining through
I see your true colors
And that's why I love you”
This overall theme of this song is accepting someone for exactly who they are. That reminds me of God’s love for everyone on this Earth.
Despite our sins and flaws, God continues to love us and offer us His grace and acceptance. No matter how far we may stray or the depths we may fall, the Lord will always be there to waiting to lift us back up into His loving arms. That is such an incredible gift and we give thanks for His blessings every single day.
