Violin Cover Of 'Mary Did You Know' From Taryn Harbridge

Published In Other

Talented violinist Taryn Harbridge performs an instrumental rendition of the beloved Christmas song, ‘Mary Did You Know.’

Since it’s release in 1991, this tune has become one of the most popular Christmas songs of all time. But it wasn’t an easy track to create. In fact, it took writer Mark Lowry over 7 years to complete the lyrics.

He was initially inspired to write a song about Mary in the early 80s. That’s when he began to wonder what he would asked this iconic woman if she were sitting right in front of him. This list of questions went on to become the words that we all know and love today.

“Mary did you know that your baby boy will give sight to a blind man?
Mary did you know that your baby boy will calm a storm with his hand?
Did you know that your baby boy has walked where angels trod?
When you kiss your little baby, you kiss the face of God”

Now, Taryn Harbridge is putting her own spin on this classic tune. Taryn is an accomplished violinist known for her popular song covers that she posts online. Today, she’s helping to remind us all about the real reason for the season with this instrumental performance of ‘Mary Did You Know.’

“The blind will see, the deaf will hear, the dead will live again
The lame will leap, the dumb will speak, the praises of the lamb”

There’s no doubt that Taryn is a gifted artist and I’m so glad to hear her using her gifts to give praise to His Name. Amen!
