Wheelchair-bound Woman With Cerebral Palsy Does The First Wheelchair Blackflip

Katherine Beattie has Cerebral Palsy, but still considers herself an athlete. Her sport of choice is the wheelchair equivalent of BMX stunt-riding. After waiting 10 years to receive a wheelchair designed for athletic pursuits, she was finally able to practice and become the first female to land a wheelchair backflip. She is also pursuing adaptive skateboarding and her philosophy is "if you/re not falling, you're not learning". What a great lesson!
