Jesus is teaching his disciples the intent of the law that was given. The Pharisees focused on the physical. God is more interested in attitude of the spirit. Jesus is giving to us a model prayer. Prayer always is dependent upon relationship. We start by honoring God acknowledging He is Holy and our provider.
