This 7-year-old blind piano prodigy is making a big splash with his rendition of ‘Rocket Man’ on ABC’s Little Big Shots.

We first met young Avett Maness back in 2019. Avett went viral after a video of him playing ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’ was posted online. Millions of people watched this child prodigy and his incredible piano skills. And this young talent doesn’t just play, he can sing too!

After his viral success, Avett was featured all across national new programs and even performed during American Idol’s Queen Night. Today, Avett is back on our screens for another noteworthy performance on the popular program Little Big Shots.

Just watch as he sits at the piano with host Melissa McCarthy for an awe-inspiring rendition of Elton John’s ‘Rocket Man.’

“And I think it's gonna be a long long time
'Till touch down brings me round again to find
I'm not the man they think I am at home
Oh no no no I'm a rocket man
Rocket man burning out his fuse up here alone”

‘Rocket Man’ was a huge success for Elton John after it’s release in 1972. It topped charts all across the globe and even inspired numerous cover performances. Today, Avett is putting his own spin on this classic tune as he expertly plays the piano while singing.

There is no doubt that this young guy has a lot of talent and tons of personality. And I’m definitely not the only one impressed by this pint-sized prodigy. I can’t wait until we see what Avett does next!
