What A Wonderful World' Josh Groban Performs Classic At Home
Award-winning tenor Josh Groban brings us to our feet with his at-home rendition of ‘What A Wonderful World.’
This beloved song was originally released in 1967. It was first recorded by Louis Armstrong and became a smash hit in the United Kingdom. Nearly two decades later, the song appeared in the film Good Morning, Vietnam which led to a resurgence in US popularity.
“I see skies of blue and clouds of white
The bright blessed days, the dark sacred nights
And I think to myself
What a wonderful world”
As COVID-19 has forced many people to remain in their homes, it has caused so many feelings of fear and anxiety. In an effort to put some joy into the world, Josh decided to start twice-weekly song covers called ‘Shower Songs.’
Today, Josh Groban is hoping that the iconic words of ‘What A Wonderful World’ will help lift the spirits of people around the world as he sings during quarantine.
“The colors of the rainbow
So pretty in the sky
Are also on the faces
Of people going by
I see friends shaking hands, saying how do you do
They're really saying, I love you”
As our world faces uncertain times, music is such a perfect way to bring us all together with a sense of peace and comfort. And knowing that we are safe in the hands of the Lord gives us the strength to face each day.
John 16:33 “I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.”
