9-Year-Old And Brother Perform Irish Dance At Wedding Reception

Published In Music

It was a wedding moment no one will forget when this little girl and her brother perform a spectacular Irish dance.

Irish dance dates back to Ireland the 17th century and consists of several different styles of solo and group dances. Stepdance groups like Riverdance brought the beautiful synchronized dance to popularity in recent years.

Now, this classic form of expression is finding new life in the modern era. Lately, we’ve been seeing more and more young people put their own unique spin on this style of dance.

Today, this 9-year-old is showing that she has what it takes to really get a crowd cheering. Just watch as she takes the dance floor at her aunt’s wedding reception. As the band starts to play a traditional Irish tune, she confidently glides across the floor to the music.

Directly behind the young girl, you can see her brother mimicking every single move. But he waits until the band opens up the dance floor before he shows off his own dance skills.

Together, this duo has the guests clapping and shouting with delight at their incredible dance skills. But then, out of nowhere, 85-year-old Grandma hits the floor and everyone lost it.

The roar from the guests is almost louder than the band. Everyone wanted to get in on this Irish dance fest and it was definitely a special moment during this wedding reception.

I’m so glad that someone was able to capture it all on camera so the bride and groom can relive this dance sequence over and over again.
