Adorable Family Band Performs Classic 'Twist And Shout' During Quarantine

Published In Music

Colt Clark and the Quarantine Kids are back with another classic tune as they perform ‘Twist And Shout.’

Colt Clark is a musician and father of three from Tampa, Florida. He normally makes his money through music, but when shelter-at-home orders were given during the COVID-19 health crisis, it meant Colt was out of work.

Rather than look at the negative, Colt saw a unique opportunity for his kids Cash, Beckett, and Bellamy. Colt decided to get the whole family together and start a band.

Even their mom is a part of the group as the resident videographer. Week after week, the talented band has been releasing classic covers and uplifting songs to bring joy during quarantine.

Today, they’re taking on a fan-favorite with ‘Twist And Shout.’

“Well, shake it up, baby, now
Twist and shout
Come on, come on, come, come on, baby, now
Come on and work it on out”

‘Twist And Shout’ was originally released in 1962 by the Isley Brothers. But it was The Beatles rendition in 1963 that truly propelled the song to new heights. Decades later, this song still remains one of the most iconic tunes of all time.

“You know you twist, little girl
You know you twist so fine
Come on and twist a little closer now
And let me know that you're mine, woo”

It’s so incredible to watch this family come together and create some joyful music. In these dark days, they are truly a shining light and I can’t wait to see what they perform next.
