Country Artist Lucas Hoge Performs Sunday Medley Of Favorite Worship Songs

Published In Music

Country singer-songwriter Lucas Hoge performs a medley of some of our favorite gospel songs at the Nashville Vineyard Church in Tennessee.

Lucas started playing the guitar when he was just a teenager living in Nebraska. During this time, he was the leader of two Christian bands and never forgot to give thanks to the Lord for all his blessings.

Now, Lucas is a rising star in the country music world but he’s always ready to sing some classic gospel songs. Today, he’s combining the beautiful words of ‘I’ll Fly Away’ and ‘This Little Light Of Mine’ for a ‘Sunday Medley.’ I just love hearing these beloved words belted out during this acoustic session.

“Some bright morning when this life is over
I'll fly away
To that home on God's celestial shore
I'll fly away
I'll fly away, oh glory
I'll fly away in the morning
When I die, Hallelujah by and by
I'll fly away”

There’s something about gospel and country music that goes together perfectly. This medley truly showcases the weight and importance behind each word while reminding us of the power of our Lord.

“This little light of mine, I'm gonna let it shine
This little light of mine, I'm gonna let it shine
This little light of mine, I'm gonna let it shine
Let it shine, let it shine, let it shine”

I don’t know about you, but I was toe-tapping along during this entire performance. I sure hope that we hear more songs like this in the future.
