Depending On You' Gene Moore With Chris McClarney

Published In Music

Gospel singer Gene Moore joins with fellow Christian artist Chris McClarney for a beautiful performance of ‘Depending On You.’ These words remind us to seek comfort and shelter in the arms of the Lord.

“Weary, but not worried
For You are my strength
The peace I feel in Your presence
Your joy is revealed
You are working behind the scenes
Perfecting and covering me
In the darkness I will declare
Nothing's too hard for You”

Gene’s musical journey is chronicled on the Motown Gospel website. He started as a background singer for other popular acts such as Kirk Franklin and Kim Burrell.

But Gene continued to feel a call from God to share his voice with the world. He said, “At first I never thought about doing lead, but throughout time I was feeling inspired to do other things … finally God confirmed to me - He said, If I put you on the stage you have no reason to be afraid. I then had a peace about it, and now here I am.”

Today, he’s at the famous New Song Café for a performance of ‘Depending On You.’ After the performance, Gene also shares the story behind these powerful words and how you can play this on your own, at home.

“I will keep my mind,
On what You are able to do
I will lift my eyes
For my help cometh from You
I'm depending on You, You, You”

We put our hope and trust in the Lord. With Him, all things are possible.
