Detroit Youth Choir Returns To AGT With Inspiring Performance Of 'The Champion'
The Detroit Youth Choir returns to the America’s Got Talent stage for an inspiring quarterfinals performance.
The world fell in love with these incredible kids after their unforgettable first audition. This Michigan choir was developed specifically for the youth in the Metro Detroit area.
Before their audition, choir director Anthony White stressed the importance of the group, which is home to many inner-city kids. The group gives them a positive place to be a part of.
Show host Terry Crews immediately bonded with the group, revealing that he grew up in Flint, Michigan. After their uplifting rendition of ‘Can’t Hold Us’ from Macklemore and Ryan Lewis, Terry was moved to press the golden buzzer for the choir.
This sent the group straight through to the live shows and now they’re back and ready to prove why they deserve to be on AGT. Just listen as they belt out the inspiring words to ‘The Champion’ from Carrie Underwood and Ludacris.
“I am invincible, unbreakable
Unstoppable, unshakeable
They knock me down, I get up again
I am the champion
You're gonna know my name
You can't hurt me now
I can't feel the pain
I was made for this, yeah, I was born to win
I am the champion”
This anthem of hope and confidence is the perfect song to compliment this incredible choir. They have proven that they can overcome anything. This inspirational performance is going to be a tough one to beat.
