The talented Tenebrae choir performs a hauntingly beautiful rendition of ‘Miserere mei, Deus’ in the oldest church in London. St Bartholomew the Great, also known as St. Bart’s, provided the backdrop for this incredible performance. The ancient church was founded in 1123 and still remains a staple for tourists and locals in the United Kingdom today.

This beautiful composition was penned in the 1630s as a setting of Psalm 51. It was to be performed solely at the Sistine Chapel during Holy Week. As years passed, the ban was lifted and the chilling song was heard worldwide.
