In The Garden' Glen Campbell Performs Classic Hymn

Published In Music

Enjoy the classic hymn ‘In The Garden’ performed by Glen Campbell in this video.

“I come to the garden alone, while the dew is still on the roses
And the voice I hear falling on my ear
The song of God discloses
And He walks with me, and He talks with me
And He tells me I am his own
And the joy we share as we tarry there
None other has ever known”

Glen Campbell sang this song at the North Phoenix Baptist Church in Arizona sometime around 1988. Towards the end of the song, the whole room joins him in singing, and what a beautiful and powerful sound it is to hear.

Glen Campbell was a talented singer, guitarist, songwriter, television host, and actor. He had a series of hit songs during the 1960s and 1970s, and he hosted The Glen Campbell Goodtime Hour on television from 1969 until 1972.

On August 8, 2017, at the age of 81, Glen Campbell passed away in Nashville. His wife of 34 years, Kim Campbell has plans to publish a memoir of their life together in June 2020. The book will be called Gentle on My Mind: In Sickness and in Health with Glen Campbell.
